We were canvassing for a really good, authentic Korean food and we called this place. The person on the phone sounded very pleasant and inviting (Jin), that made the difference on our decision, besides the reviews. When we got there, the place was also inviting, the food turned out to be delicious. I would recommend this place for new to Korean food. Jin our server knows well the food and recommendations.

I go to hallmark all the time but this day I couldn't find a spot and ended up parking by Alleyway. I looked at the menu and saw garlic pork belly for like $7. Hell ya! I ordered it and went to get my cards. I assumed it was chunks but it wasn't. Tbh bc it's white it's not the most visually appealing but first bite and all that went out the window! It's everything! And more. Delicious, flavorful and the cilantro is the perfect accompaniment. I cleared that lil box out. The box is small but you def get your moneys worth. I should explore other things on the menu but already know this is my new craving. I'll probably go back today as I need more cards lol.

This is their second location, original on Rainbow. Food is just as good as the original location. Obviously, you have to have the Crachen fried squid - so good! Their hot pot soups are excellent - once you decide which one to get. They have a good selection of hot pot flavors that it's hard to decide on one. One pot is good for two people, unless you have a big appetite. Interior of restaurant has lots of character and kind of remind a me of a Japanese anime environment. Plenty of seating and open and bright. Service is excellent and friendly. Our server had an upbeat personality and checked in on us often. Whether you've been to the original of not, this place is worth visiting. Enjoy!

I do see that this business has been offering incentives in exchange for Yelp reviews; HOWEVER, no lie was told! My boyfriend is sensitive to gluten, so we called before hand to make sure they had a gluten friendly option. Meat is not marinated and their gluten friendly broth option is a pork broth, tonkotsu. Keep in mind, my boyfriend is not bothered by cross contamination, so make sure you check with the kitchen before taking my word for it. Staff is super friendly and being that this is our first hot pot experience they were very patient with us. They explained the menu and offered suggestions. They didn't make us feel uncomfortable at all. I love my soups and broths very hot, so I really enjoyed the personal pot on a fire. If you don't like the premade options, create your own! There are different spice levels and a variety of content options. They have cute overhead decor, definitely for a more casual outing. Definitely enjoyed this experience, and we will be back!

This was a last minute spontaneous spot that I just looked up on Yelp, this wasn't on my list of places. I was craving hot pot and this really hit the spot. It was nicely decorated as if you were in another country eating. The hot pot options were good, I needed something that had a lot of variety of meats and veggies. I got the Tom Yum broth because you can never go wrong with that flavor. This place was small and service was good. Very simple menu and it was yummy.

Cute spot for Taiwanese style, non-traditional hotpot. Kind of similar to Boiling Point in LA. Pros: Very cute ambiance and interior, nice staff who provide great service. Chinese beef rolls were delicious. They do put a generous portion of beef into the hotpot. Tried the sukiyaki broth and it was very good, not too sweet. The pot had a mix of beef, seafood, tofu, imitation crab, udon noodles, vegetables, etc. There were a lot of different broths to choose from including curries, kimchi and tom yum. Every hot pot option had a big mixture of stuff that don't typically go together. Cons: Not customisable. When you order the hotpot, it comes as is and you can't change much to it. I did hear the table behind me take out stuff, but was told "no customisation." This would work well for me if the hotpot options were made with simpler mixtures of stuff. I actually wasn't too big of a fan of the elaborate mixes. And prefer simpler hotpots with a larger quantity of a smaller number of filler ingredients. The food and overall experience were still very good. I've been wanting to try this place for a while. But I think I do personally prefer traditional hotpot where you get to choose what you want to put in, like the ones in Chinatown. And so does my husband. If you like a la carte, predetermined hotpot mixes, then you'll probably enjoy this place more than me.

My husband and I had a delightful dining experience at Alleyway Hotpot recently. We decided to try both the Szechuan Spicy and Sukiyaki hot pots, and we were impressed by the flavors. What impressed us even more was the attentive service. Our waitress noticed that we were enjoying the spice and kindly brought us extra chili powder on the side, allowing us to adjust the heat level to our liking. It was a thoughtful touch that added to our enjoyment of the meal. The Sukiyaki hot pot was equally delicious, with tender meats and fresh vegetables cooked to perfection in a savory-sweet broth. The generous portions ensured that we left feeling satisfied and content. Overall, our experience at Alleyway Hotpot was fantastic. The combination of flavorful food and attentive service made for a memorable dining experience. We'll definitely be back to try more of their delicious offerings.

They have great reviews for a reason!! I have been here a few times now and every time is great and honestly the service is even better! The staff is so kind and helpful and will walk you through everything you need to know. The decor in this place is super cute and seems so authentic! My favorites are the tomato, tonkatsu, and the coconut curry. I usually go solo so trying anything outside the hotpot is pretty rare for me. My roommate went once and we shored the katsu curry. It was reallllllllly good and stayed crispy for the whole meal. Don't skip this place!

Hidden gem located right behind the hallmark store at the Eastern and Serene plaza! Came here to celebrate my mom's birthday. They did a great job decorating for her celebration. We came at 5pm on a Friday and there was no wait. We also made a reservation ahead of time just in case if there was a wait. We got the hot pot and the soup was so flavorful. We liked how it was a personal pot for each of us. My mom got the coconut curry with no spice and I got the Sakayuki (I think that's what it was called) with no spice as well. My brother got the creamy tomato soup and my boyfriend ordered the orange chicken (not pictured). I tried the broth from the coconut curry and even with no spice, there was a good heat to it from the curry itself. I loved the tomato cream broth that my brother got with Medium heat. It was perfection. Will definitely get that next time I go! Will be back to try more of the broths. Each of the personal pots were $18-19 each and it comes with a complimentary side of white rice or rice noodle. We had some food left over and left satisfied.

My sister and I came here on a weeknight. It was not packed. I ordered the Sukiyaki hot pot and my sister ordered the Szechwan spicy hot pot. Both were delicious and the portion of each hot pot is more than enough for one person. Servers were friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Casual. The restaurant is clean, including the restroom. Located in the Walmart and Sam's Club complex at 215 & Eastern. Lots of parking. Reservations accepted which is always a plus. Price is reasonable. Would return to this place.
